Pashmina is a fine type of cashmere wool. The textiles made from it were first woven in Kashmir. The name comes from Persian 'pašmina', meaning "made from wool" and literally translates to "Soft Gold" in Kashmiri..

Wonderful Scarf/Wrap

I have two of these scarves. They give just the right amount of warmth as a wrap/scarf in the spring. They drape well and feel soft. I wash mine by hand in cold water. They get a nice, funkier "raw" look when you do that. Can always dry clean per label. Bought first one in store and second on line. They were really helpful both times.
