This is an Om Mani Padme Hum designed candle holder. This device serves as a prayer wheel and spins using thermodynamic energy from the candle flame. Om Mani Padme hum is the six syllabled Sanskrit Mantra for compassion. In English, it can be translated to "Praise to the jewel in the lotus" as it is associated with the Buddha Avolaketisvara, the Bodhisattva of compassion.
