Properties: According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shiva went into deep meditation for the well-being of all sentient beings. Upon completion, he felt a deep and strong emotion and shed a tear of compassion. That tear crystallized into the form of a rudraksha seed as it landed onto the earth.
